  1. IS IGNORANCE AN EXCUSE? BY STEVE FINNELL

Is ignorance an acceptable excuse for denying God's terms of pardon? Can men claim ignorance after they have had the truth preached to them and then refused to obey? Can men read the terms for pardon, then ignore them and claim ignorance on Judgment Day?

The apostle Paul said he obtained mercy because he was a blasphemer, and persecutor because of his ignorance.(1 Timothy 1:12-14)

If Saul (Paul) would have rejected Jesus as Lord on the road to Damascus could he have obtained mercy using the ignorance defense? (Acts 9:1-19)

Could Paul have obtained mercy had he told Ananias that his sins were forgiven on the road to Damascus and that he did not have to be baptized in water nor call on the name of the Lord to have his sins washed away? (Acts 22:1-16)

Mark 16:"He who believes and is baptized will be saved...(NKJV)

Is it possible for men today to read Mark 16:16 and then deny that belief and water baptism are essential for salvation and still be saved? Can they claim they did not believe and obey because of ignorance.

WAS PRAYING TO BAAL WORSHIP? BY STEVE FINNELL

When the prophets of Baal prayed to him were they worshiping him? Of course they were worshiping Baal. Praying to anyone or anything is worship.

1 Kings 18:24-40 .....25 Now Elijah said to the prophets of Ball, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it." 26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying "O Baal hear us!".....(NKJV)

Were the prophets of Baal worshiping Baal by praying to him? Yes they were.

When men today pray to the Virgin Mary and other saints, who are dead or alive, is that worship. Yes, praying to anyone or anything is worship.

Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." (NKJV)
